Step into a home today and three times out of five you will walk into a room with fluorescent lighting. With each passing year more home owners are turning to the welcomed efficiency found with this form of illumination. One of the reasons behind this trend is the improvement that has been made with the variety and style options available with fluorescent lighting. In the past, standard fluorescent lights were really plain and rather harsh on the eyes. Today however, that problem has easily been resolved thanks to the introduction of fluorescent light diffusers. For even better results in design, the added aesthetic touch of decorative light panels can also be used. This type of lighting allows people to not only cater to the look of their walls and furniture but to their lighting sources as well. There are so many design options available to people today.

Thanks to this important evolution in fluorescent lighting, people are now provided with many of the options that they previously could only enjoy with incandescent lighting. People can now include the use of dimmer switches with their fluorescent bulbs or buy bulbs that are designed to fit into many of the standard incandescent light fixtures that are in use today. Add in the fact that fluorescent bulbs are capable of producing the same amount of illumination than the higher rated incandescent bulb while saving vast amount of energy and producing no heat and it is easy to see why its use has become so common.
